GUSTO WORKSHOPS

The Gusto Workshop includes 14 hours of group class (both cooking and wine) and 10 hours of private individual tutoring for one of the thematic chosen areas (see list below). The group course offerings are:

  • Tuscan Cuisine (offered once a week)
  • Italian Regional Cuisine (offered once a week)
  • Italian Vegetarian Cooking (offered once a week)
  • Italian Food Feast (offered once a week in June and July)

The length of the Gusto Workshop program is two weeks. Programs can be repeated adding extra weeks Students may begin any week. However, If you wish to include Italian Language, please note that if you are a beginning language student you MUST begin your weekly program on the first week of the month, (see weekly calendar for exact date). Students who have prior Italian Language experience may select any week.

•  Grocery shopping education: fresh food market and supermarket; organic and industrially produced foods; fresh and preserved foods.

•  The Mediterranean Diet

•  Traditional Product Preserves and Fresh Herbs

•  Pairing Food & Wine*

•  Olive Oil

•  Cold Cuts and Cheese in the Tuscan Tradition

•  The Art of Setting and Decorating the Table

•  Food Styling and Photography*

•  Flower Composition and Arrangement*

•  Gelatto, Italian Ice and Sorbets*
