Customized Programs

Customized courses are private, hands-on cooking classes with a chef, and can be arranged for 1 - 15 people. These private lessons meet for approx. 3 hours (unless otherwise specified) and can be scheduled Monday through Friday, for any time slot requested by the client. We also can organize visits to wineries and farms, where olive oil and wine are produced. Courses can be arranged either in the morning or the afternoon, depending on the preference of the client and the availability of the professors.

  • Cooking Classes

Private cooking classes are available on a daily basis for individuals or small groups. The class consists of a 3 hour hands-on cooking experience. The menu can be proposed by the client who has special interests or he/she may want to select from our special theme menus. The class ends with lunch/dinner of food prepared.

  •  Wine Appreciation Course

Wine courses focus on Tuscan wines as well as the finest wines of other Italian regions: Piedmont, Sicily, etc. We offer both private or group lessons for beginners, as well as intermediate/advanced classes for connoisseurs.

  • Italian for Survival

Private Italian langauge tutoring for as little as one hour per day. Lessons are offered from beginning to advanced levels.

  • Gastronomic Walking Tour

The gastronomic walking tour is a fine way to see and ‘taste’ the city. You will be accompanied through the town, making stops in local shops and small stands to sample typical foods and wines of the region. Some foods to be enjoyed in this tour are: schiacciata (flat bread), crostini and bruschetta, pecorino cheese, gelato, local pastries.

  • Market Tour

The market tour will take you through the Florence central produce market, where the freshest ingredients are available. The top floor houses all of the finest fresh fruits and vegetables as well as beautiful flowers, while the bottom floor displays a huge variety of meats, seafood, cheeses and breads. Local Florentines and restaurateurs meet here in the morning to pick out the best produce. It is a unique experience to see the people, smell the fragrances and take in local culture. Bring your camera - you will get some great shots!

  • Cooking Supply Tour

This tour highlights a few of Florence's finest cooking supply shops and gourmet food sellers.

  • Shopping Tour

The shopping tour will accompany you to the finest shopping areas of Florence: via Tornabuoni, via Calzaiuoli, etc. We can also organize an excursion to the Prada and Gucci outlets outside Florence. This activity can either be for a half day or full day.

  • Meal in a Florentine restaurant with culinary expert

  • Lecture with tastings of typical Tuscan products

  • Dinner in a Tuscan Home

If a client chooses a dinner in a private Tuscan home, he/she will be hosted in a home either in Florence or the surrounding areas of Florence (not necessarily in Chianti). The dinner is informal, clients are welcomed like friends. (This is not a cooking class or a restaurant meal). Clients typically arrive around 7:30 and have a drink and  appetizer with the hosts, followed by dinner. Transportation is not included

  • Visit to a Tuscan farm

  • Field Trips in the Chianti 

Enjoy a ride in the Chianti countryside amongst the olive groves and vineyards. Visit the town of Greve and the famous Falorni delicatessen where you will have a tasting of wine + local products. Lunch in a typical Tuscan restaurant. This tour usually lasts half a day.
