Procedures, Payments, Deadlines and Cancellations

MAILED APPLICATIONS :
Send your application to the Study Abroad Italy- 7160 Keating Avenue-Sebastopol, CA 95472
Please include:
Application fee
Security deposit (if applicable-refundable).
Tuition deposit equal to 50% of the total tuition.

ON-LINE APPLICATIONS:
Submit the On-line Application form and have the following sent to our office to complete your application:

Tuition deposit equal to 50% of the total tuition.

Note: The balance of tuition/program costs must be paid at the application deadline (late applicants must send full payment with their application). Students applying less than 30 days before the start of a program must pay 100 percent of the the tuition with their application.

FORMS OF PAYMENT :
1. Personal Check, Money Order or Cashiers Check: Make check payable to: "Study Abroad Italy".
2. Bank Wire Transfer: For Bank Wire Transfers, please contact our California office at (800) 655-8965 or (707) 824-8965 for instructions.
3. Credit Cards:  We accept Visa and Master Card. For credit card payments a fee of 2.3% will be charged You may speak with our finance department at (800) 655-8965 or (707) 824-8965 to make a credit card payment. Or you may pay online at

All payments must be made in US dollars.

DEADLINES:
The balance of tuition/program costs must be paid at the application deadline (late applicants must send full payment with their application). Students applying less than 30 days before the start of a program must pay 100 percent of the the tuition with their application.
Housing requests will not be processed until you have paid the tuition deposit, housing fee (if applicable) and the security deposit.

TUITION REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY:
Orientation day is considered the start of the term.
Tuition liability, for all programs, is based on the date on which a formal cancellation request is received in writing.
A full tuition refund (less application fee) is given if cancellation is more than 45 days before the start of the program or course.
30-45 days prior to the start of a course the student is liable for 15% of the tuition cost.
Within a period of 30 days to 1 week prior to the start of a course, the student will be liable for 50% of total tuition.
Any cancellation notice received during the 1 week prior to the start of a term will result in the student's liability for
100% of tuition. The security deposit is not refundable 60 days or less before the start of a session.

HOUSING CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:In the case of a student deciding to cancel their housing request the following penalty will apply, based on the date of withdrawal:
• 60 days or less prior to start of term student is liable for 100% of housing cost.
