NON - ACADEMIC PROGRAMS PROCEDURES
All payments must be made in US dollars.

Mailed Applications
Send your application to the Study Abroad Italy office in California including:
Application fee (Applications must be received at least 30 days before a class, or an additional $50 RUSH FEE will be added)
Security deposit (if applicable-refundable).
Tuition deposit equal to 50% of the total tuition.

On-line Applications
Submit the On-line Application form and have the following sent to our office to complete your application:
Application fee (Applications must be received at least 30 days before a class, or an additional $50 RUSH FEE will be added)
Security deposit (if applicable-refundable).
Tuition deposit equal to 50% of the total tuition.

Housing requests will not be processed until you have paid the tuition deposit, housing fee (if applicable) and the security deposit.

NOTE: The balance of tuition/program costs must be paid at the application deadline (late applicants must send full payment with their application). Students applying less than 30 days before the start of a program must pay 100 percent of the the tuition with their application.

Forms of payment:
1. Personal Check, Money Order or Cashiers Check: Make check payable to: "Study Abroad Italy".
2. Bank Wire Transfer: For Bank Wire Transfers, please contact our California office at (800) 655-8965 or (707) 824-8965 for instructions.
3. Credit Cards:  We accept Visa and Master Card. For credit card payments a Customer Service Fee of $26 is charged. Please speak with our Billing Officer at (800) 655-8965 or (707) 824-8965 to make a credit card payment.

Deadlines
(Late applications are accepted on a space-available basis)

Applications must be received at least 30 days before a class, or a $50 RUSH FEE will be added.

Tuition refund / Cancellation policy:

Orientation day is considered the start of the term.
Tuition liability, for all programs, is based on the date on which a formal cancellation request is received in writing.

A full tuition refund (less application fee) is given if cancellation is more than 45 days before the start of the program or course.
30-45 days prior to the start of a course the student is liable for 15% of the tuition cost.
Within a period of 30 days to 1 week prior to the start of a course, the student will be liable for 50% of total tuition.
Any cancellation notice received during the 1 week prior to the start of a term will result in the student's liability for
100% of tuition. The security deposit is not refundable 60 days or less before the start of a session.

Hosuing Cancellation and Refund Policy:

In the case of a student deciding to cancel their housing request the following penalty will apply, based on the date of withdrawal:
• 60 days or less prior to start of term student is liable for 100% of housing cost.
